Brunch with Bri: Jimmy’s W 38th
What is the most important meal of the week? BRUNCH 🥂🥂🥂 So with Sunday slowly approaching I’m here to take you to Brunch with Bri and we’re going to discuss one of NYC top brunch party spots.
If you use Instagram chances are that you’ve definitely heard of this place. Promoters love to throw parties here and from the looks of it this midtown lounge is the place to be. Jimmy’s is where mimosas turn into tequila sunrises and you’re sending risky “you up?” texts by 4pm. Placed right in the heart of Manhattan on West 38th Street this lounge’s location brings quite the crowd but is it worth it ? Here’s my take:
Food: ⭐️⭐️
While Jimmy’s isn’t known for its food the least they could have done for brunch was make it nice. I took to this Brunch spot for my birthday earlier this year and absolutely none of us finished our food and it wasn’t because it was “so good”. I unfortunately suffer from a very strange allergy and after telling them they failed to tell me they were going to garnish my meal with said allergen. After a long conversation with my server they brought back this…
YALL! Did I really pay $50 for this? Now I may be a picky eater but I’m not the only person from my table to have an issue with their food. Every single person in my party was unsatisfied with their meal.
Drinks: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Okurrr listen. Jimmy’s brunch drinks is where it is at! You’re offered two pitchers for your table ; Mimosa, Sangria, or White Sangria. When I tell you we had pitchers We had pitchers!!! If you clearly aren’t about the food like we weren’t there is the option to drink for just $20 but it’s worth it because 2 hours of those mimosas is all I need for a reckless Saturday.( I apologize in advance for the laughing friend in the background of the video below)

Crowd: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Now this clearly isn’t the type of place you want to take your mom for brunch unless she’s down with the get down and if she is let’s share a mom. It’s a party brunch kind of scene; after your meal (You have a 2 hour limit) you have the option to go to the other side of the club and order bottles or just stay in the middle where there’s pretty much an open floor. The music is great you’ll be entertained and dancing your whole brunch but once you get to the other side it will definitely be a bit crowded. This place is not made for the claustrophobic type.
The overall vibe is okay but this definitely is not somewhere I would want to go if I was trying to brunch to enjoy the actual food. The service was terrible, wait was long, hookah EXPENSIVE and the food was nothing short of a nightmare. However the drinks were good, the environment was super upscale, and the music fed the party vibe they had going for the place. So this is definitely somewhere I would go for drinks in the future but not my type of brunch.
Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a half
